Imagine this: You send me your current photo's every couple of months and want 2 or 4 layouts done at a time...by the end of the year - (plus a few weeks to complete) you will have your own original unique Scrapbook Keepsake to enjoy and pass down through the generations! You can simply pay for the pages as you go. I will complete the layout and mail it back to you! You keep your actual Album and slip them in as we go! What a great way to keep current and have an entire album in one year without having to come up with a full 50% deposit and not knowing how many pages you will end up with! You pick the pictures - whether you send them to me every month or every couple of months - and we decide on an even number of layouts to help the album flow nicely (2, 4, or 6 depending on the number of photo's you are sending and the look we want!) When you send your photo's - you send full payment per page $12.50, and you will receive your complete layouts within a couple of weeks to add to your own album!

If you want an entire album made (of at least 20 pages), you will receive a 10% discount.

I believe that journaling is the most important part of any scrapbook. You’ve heard the old saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” I once heard it in a different, but I think more fitting, way: “A picture is worthy of a thousand words.” I encourage you to write your own stories. Even if you tell them to me and ask me to include them—even if you type them out ahead of time—your stories will lose some of their oomph unless you write them out yourself. There’s something magical about putting pen to the scrapbook page. The photos bring back memories and stories that would otherwise be forgotten. I will strive to add quotes and titles that help create an atmosphere for your stories, but it is you who must do the storytelling. I know, I know. You’re curling your lip and saying, “But I’m a terrible writer. I won’t know what to say. I hate my handwriting.” Believe me, I’ve heard it all. And I don’t care. I want you to write your stories. You’ll thank me later. That’s a promise!

Approximately How Long Does It Take?
I generally attempt to get an album consisting of 20 pages completed within one month's time. From the time I receive your e-mail approving my preliminary plans for your first page, to the gluing down of the last page. I will make every attempt to complete a project if you need it by a certain date. This requires you to check your e-mail frequently to answer any questions regarding journaling or anything else. Obviously, the time needed for smaller projects is significantly less.
What Are My Payment Options?
You can pay me securely online via PayPal. I also accept personal checks or money orders made payable to Karen Wimpey. I will begin creating your album once your deposit check has cleared the bank. Upon completion of the album it will be shipped once your check for the total remaining bill has also been cleared.
What Is PayPal and How Does It Work?
PayPal is an account-based system that lets anyone with an e-mail address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account. I, the recipient of the charge, never have access to your account number. Visit the PayPal website for more information.
How do you know what to write in the album?
Journaling to me is what makes a photo album a scrapbook. I also feel your handwriting, no matter how horrid, is a tremendous asset to the scrapbook. That said, I too love computer fonts for journaling on layouts. When you send your photos, you can include journaling or important information, or just ask me to leave you room to write it in later. If you chose the wait and see approach, you will be limited to use the journaling space provided. There is no additional charge for journaling.
If I give you scrapbooking supplies, does that lower the price?
Unfortunately, I do not offer a lower price for providing me with supplies. It is difficult to plan a layout when you are limited to specific supplies, paper, stickers, etc. Of course, I will always include any memorabilia you wish to have included in the album. If you have specific embellishments you have already picked up I will be happy to incorporate those into the album!
Are you open to using my own ideas or be willing to try to recreate a look I have in mind?
I have yet to find an idea that I would not be able to recreate. What I generally do when I "scraplift" is to take the idea and personalize it. I would gladly incorporate any ideas or layouts you have in mind for your album.
What if I wish to cancel my order for a custom-made album once you have started?
I have no problem with you canceling an order at anytime, for any reason. You are liable for the cost of each page that has already been created at the agreed Per Page cost. Your deposit will be returned minus the cost of work already completed and return shipping. If the amount due is more than the deposit, items will be withheld until payment for remaining balance is received.
